The Rim 7-20-09 (25 images)
I took the day off of work to go wander around the Rim. Normally I'm not a huge fan of the Rim. Well I take that back. I love the Rim
and everything it has to offer and it's proximity to the valley, but I hate the crowds on the weekends. But on weekdays it's awesome.
First I started off with a nice 4 mile hike off of Forest Control Road 64. Next I went for a swim in Ellison Creek (again, normally
slammed on the weekends, but weekdays it's possible to have the place to yourself). Then I followed the Control
Rd. the rest of the way to where it spits you out on the 260 (just south of Tonto Village). From there I went over to the metropolis of
Forest Lakes for a bite to eat. And finally I finished the day off with some fishing at Canyon Creek. Awesome day.
